Air Transport is Simple

Direct daily flights from Miami, Atlanta, and Houston to Managua are available as well as direct and charter flights to Liberia airport in Costa Rica. Several one stop trips are available from Canada cities through these US cities. TACA has direct flights to San Salvador and short hop to Managua from Toronto. 

Land Journey is very easy  

The retreat is under 2.5 hours from Managua international airport, 3 hours from Liberia international airport, 1 hour from the Costa Rica border and 20 minutes from the charming fishing village of San Juan del Sur, on the south west corner of Nicaragua.

Reliable and Comfortable Taxi

We can arrange a Managua airport pick up (approx.110USD) for you by a private, comfortable and reliable taxi or if you arrive in Iberia we can arrange to meet you at the border. 

Multitude of Car Rentals

There are a number of car rental desks in the airport, if you would like to do some of your own touring while at Orquidea del Sur.  If you wish to go off-road four wheel drive is essential. You do not need 4X4 to get to Orquidea del Sur. We will be pleased to provide you all the needed information to make your drive to Orquidea del Sur a pleasant experience. Most car rental companies will not permit cross border movement of rental vehicles.

Night Travel

Depending on your arrival time, you may wish to spend a night in Managua before making the journey to Orquidea del Sur. Travel by yourself at night is not recommended. We would be pleased to make recommendations for accommodation in Managua or Liberia. Our own drivers are very use to night travel, if you wish to come directly.
